From September 5, 2020 to January 30, 2022, you can visit the unique exhibition project "Geography of Novgorod" at the Museum of art culture of the Novgorod land. The main part of the exhibits from the private collection of Alexey Valentinovich Finikov (Saint Petersburg), complement the exhibition of works by Novgorod authors from the Museum's collections.
The exhibition allows you to literally immerse yourself in history: take photos with the "inhabitants" of Veliky Novgorod of the XVIII century, examine in detail on special tables maps of Muscovy and Russia (including the one that Pushkin wrote about in the play "Boris Godunov"), Novgorod province, as well as plans of Veliky Novgorod of different years.
The presented maps and plans are full of small fascinating details, to view them, you can use a magnifying glass, and young visitors will be interested in using puzzles to make a map of Russia at the end of the XVI century with the image of strange animals or a view of the ancient Novgorod Detinets.
The exhibition is supplemented with informative interactive presentations, and a number of the most interesting exhibits are presented on multimedia screens. You can also use multimedia guides using the ARTEFACT platform's augmented reality technology and audio guides in Russian and English!
